When it rains, it Pours!

After a gruelling five months of relentless sunshine, the sky finally broke out its dusty old collection of clouds! Those little puffs of moisture felt like long-lost friends who had just returned from an epic summer vacation, leaving us peasants behind to bake in the blazing sun. We nearly forgot what they looked like. So many cloud-free days, it felt like living in a 24/7 postcard. But now, as October rolls in, we finally get to savor the sweet, damp embrace of a sky that's at least 10% less aggressively blue.

And then, wonder of wonders, rain arrived! It was like the Algarve had suddenly remembered, "Oh yeah, I’m not actually a desert." Not just a few teasing drops either—this was real, bona fide, ground-soaking rain. The kind that makes you think, "Do I even own an umbrella?" We are not saying it was a full-on Biblical event, but when you haven’t felt rain in half a year, you do start to wonder if you should start building an ark just in case!

The temperature dipped below 25°C (a chilling 77°F), and suddenly people were acting like winter had come. This is what five straight months of sunshine will do to a person! We are trying to appreciate these fleeting moments of moisture. After all, we need it, and the forecast is to return to relentless sunshine in no time!
