It is said that time flies when you are having fun - and we couldn't agree more. Somehow, it is a whole six months since we arrived on Portuguese soil to start our new life in the sun.
In many ways it feels like yesterday that we stepped off the ferry in Santander and made the drive to the North of Portugal, but in other ways we feel like we have been here forever. Perhaps that is because we have started to settle into life over here seamlessly - not once feeling any hint of regret at leaving our old lives in the UK behind.
We've been lucky enough to have been visited by many family and friends already, and are starting to make our own new friends out here too. The weather puts a smile on your face each day, and having lighter evenings at this time of year rather than it going dark at 4pm makes a huge difference.
We have loved every second so far, and with many exciting plans in the pipeline.....roll on the next six months!
