Later this week, we are leaving the sunny skies of Portugal behind to head back to the UK. We are heading back for a very good friend's wedding, and are very excited about that! We are not so excited about the weather prospects, but will be crossing our fingers for dry weather for the big celebration.
Unbelievably, I haven't been back to the UK for almost a year. There are, of course, things I miss (family, friends, and proper salt and vinegar crisps - ha ha!), but our decision to move to Portugal was so right, I never really want to leave the country!
We're really looking forward to catching up with our family and friends, and it will be lovely to be back in Edinburgh to remind ourselves what a beautiful city it is. We hope to take the sunshine back with us, and enjoy a bit of blue sky weather.....we are not expecting miracles - but we are hoping for one!
