A whirlwind escape!

After a quick getaway from Portugal, we just returned from a few wonderful days in our home city of Edinburgh. There’s something incredibly comforting about going back to familiar streets, old haunts, and beloved views—even just for a short while. It felt like hitting pause on our day-to-day, stepping into a place filled with memories, and soaking in that unique Edinburgh energy.

We made the most of every moment—catching up with friends over long lunches and spontaneous pub stops, fully leaning into the joys of Scottish food. Even the famously unpredictable Scottish weather surprised us with a generous dose of sunshine and just the right amount of fresh, crisp air. It felt like the city was giving us its best, reminding us why it will always have a piece of our hearts.

Now, we’re heading back to the Portuguese sun, which seems to have found its way home too after a few weeks of much-needed rain. As we swap tartan scarves for sunglasses again, we’re feeling grateful for the mix of worlds we get to call home—and already looking forward to the next time we touch down in Edinburgh.
